Re: "To Say Nothing of the Dog" by Connie Willis, Cyril to Princess Arjumand, post-canon(ish)

This is SO delightful, oh my gosh!!

BLOWN AWAY by the epic, elegant, and darker tones coupled with such adorable imagery and uplifting moments. It's so full of heart-racing adventure and whimsy!

The first verse, "Thy namesake's death near-drowned her love in grief / So he enshrined her in a marble tomb" especially, is stunning, your wording is gorgeous!

"But you, O nine-lived Princess, can't be quenched
By far-flung journeys, not through time nor space.
However chastised, scared, bedraggled, drenched
You land upon your paws, with haughty face."

and

"Your proud demeanor shall remain the same:
You'll pounce, and preen, and strut upon all fours."

Had me clapping, it's soooooo cute, and so well-written!! I am FULL of glee, what an excellent poem, you're incredible!! Thank you so much for writing and sharing this!
