a couple of poetry recs
Mar. 8th, 2019 09:08 amI've been dipping my toe into submitting original spec poetry to places that publish that sort of thing, and as part of my quest I've been reading the poetry archives at several online magazines. Here are a couple that I really liked:
Osiris by Leah Bobet
I'm a sucker for retold myths, okay. Also I am a simple soul, and there are rhymes! Internal rhymes, even.
Unknown Search Terms by A. D. Harper
I think this is technically a prose poem? IDK, if you told me it was a short story I would also believe you. In any case, I like it: it's voice-y, funny, and surreal-yet-familiar.
