Hi there! You have either been assigned to write me a story, or I've made it to the pinch hit list again. Either way, I'm happy you're here! Let me tell you about the following women, who are all dear to my heart and have had practically no fanfic written about them (and are all kind of jerks, wow, I didn't do that on purpose; it just happened.)

Fandom: Vorkosigan Saga
Character: Lotus Durona, Baronne Bharaputra

I have SO MANY QUESTIONS about Lotus Durona. What was growing up Durona like for her? Why did she decide to leave? How did she snag Vasa Luigi and half of his criminal empire? What did Lilly do to her (or she thought Lilly did) that made her decide to enact that specific, horrifying, and obscure revenge? What was her involvement, if any, in the Terrence Cee episode (and did it end with the end of Ethan of Athos, or is there more)? (Gosh, Lotus and Terrence comparing childhoods would be, wow.) Or if you just want to tell a story about a day in the life of a ruthless crime boss IN SPACE, that would be awesome too.

Fandom: Chronicles of Chrestomanci
Character: Miranda Chant

Miranda Chant is vain, shallow, utterly self-absorbed, and a calculating and single-minded social climber. I kind of want to kick her repeatedly for the way she treated Christopher, and yet I also find her charming and delightful as a character? I'm interested in her backstory or a character study, or maybe something about her relationship with Ralph. (I am not totally averse to incest.) I would also be vastly amused to read an epistolary fic in the form of notes passed back and forth between her and Cosimo, or finding out how she coped with life in Japan.

Fandom: Chronicles of the Kencyrath
Character: Lyra Lack-Wit

How much do I love Lyra Lack-Wit? Despite the name, I don't think she's actually stupid—but she has been deliberately kept ignorant, and away from any access to power, both in the secret corridors of the women's world and in the wider sphere. Her father actually contracted her for a marriage outside the Kencyrath; he couldn't have said, "You are an entirely disposable pawn" much plainer. And yet Lyra remains relentlessly cheerful, which is part of why I find her so appealing. Also—and this is another thing that leads to her being seen as stupid—she has basically no impulse control. But the flipside of never taking time to think about things is being a quick thinker, and Lyra has several times demonstrated her ability to act before anyone else gets a chance to. She can be terribly, thoughtlessly cruel. And she has a for-serious-canonical crush on Jame (at one point she says in her internal narration that Jame is the sister of her choice, and we all know what sister-friend means to a Highborn lady) which I'd love to see explored.

Fandom: Knights-Errant
Character: Amir

Gosh, it's hard to request Amir for a woman-centered fic exchange without spoiling the fact that Amir is a woman. Sorry anyone who would rather have read Knights-Errant unspoiled! (If you are a pinch-hitter or having trouble with the character we matched on, I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the archive binge is trivial.) Anyway, I loved the bit where Amir was patching up Kadeen while taking shameless advantage of him, and I'd love to see the parts we didn't see from Amir's point of view, or something in a similar vein with Oswald or any other character (um, not taking sexual advantage though, while Amir is hardly a paragon of morality somehow I don't quite see her doing that?). I'd also love to read anything that further explores Amir and Kadeen's (mostly) friendship.

As far as general likes/dislikes go, I really like all kinds of fic, from gen to shippy (I am a dedicated multishipper and will happily read any rating, any number/gender of participants), from warm-and-fluffy to dark (kill my favorite characters, please!), from plotty and action-packed to intense conversations on the Formless Plane of Dialogue (I don't tend to like extremely introspective stories where there's no interaction, however). I'm not terribly fond of AUs of the coffee-shop/university/whatever variety, but I like canon-divergence AUs and fusions and crossovers when they're clever.

Aside from that, really, the only reason I didn't put "anything" as all my prompts is because I am aware that "anything" is a terrible prompt. But I do want to read anything about the above characters, so if you have a different idea than the ones I suggested, please please write it!

If for some reason you want to stalk me, I am dead easy to stalk; I'm minutia_r (or occasionally minutia-r) all over the internet: Here, AO3, tumblr, deviantart, ff.net, dreamwidth (although I've never done anything with that one) and probably one or two other places I don't recall off-hand.

Thank you and happy writing!
