I rather suspect that Those Tapes are like Justin's, and I also suspect Mark of being capable or wreaking his own revenge, in his own time . . . but, I am womanfully trying *not* to get sucked further into this AU; it seems really complicated.

But I do agree about Bothari and Catlin; the society that Catlin is adjusted *to* is fairly screwed up, but they do know how to Adjust, in Union, far better than on Barrayar.

In a universe where Ari had those tapes made in the first place, I think she'd have observed Mark enough to read him and neutralize him with the psychological strings of a good Working, but if you ever feel inspired to describe Mark's Roaring Rampage of Revenge, I would be thrilled. And happy to offer inhuman temptation, if only I knew how. *g*
