Each Sunday, post six sentences from a writing project -- published, submitted, in progress, for your cat -- whatever.

It is not strictly Sunday here anymore, but I keep seeing [livejournal.com profile] dropsofviolet doing this, and thinking, "I've got enough semi-abandoned WIPs by now that I could probably do this." So I am doing this.

"But Julia must come out. How do you expect her to find a husband if she's not in Society?"

"She could start thieving things from temples," Chrestomanci suggested. "That's how I found a wife. Of course, I lost a life in the process, and since Julia only has the one I can't really recommend it. Pity," he went on, idly poking at a kipper, "but I imagine she'll work out something."

Perhaps on Thursday I'll do what-I'm-reading-Wednesday!

Semi-abandonedish means that I can coax you into finishing them, right? Right?

I want to read more about Janet and Society, it sounds like it could be hilarious.

This is one I'd really like to finish, but the scope is just . . . it's more ambitious than any fanfic project I've ever finished, and although I know the basic shape of if I'm missing most of the plot, and I just don't know how to do the katamari-of-wackiness that I envision, and also I'm kind of crap at romance plots. I mean I think I'm okay at romantic relationships, but when it comes to the whole "couple overcomes difficulties in order to achieve their happily ever after" I just get stuck on "why don't you guys kiss already?"

I . . . am kind of tempted to dump the approximately 2,000 (non-consecutive) words I have of this on you with a plaintive wail of "what do I doooo with this?"

You could do that. It sounds pretty intriguing.

Oh, Julia! I've been thinking there should be more Julia Chant fic for a long time now (*looks hopeful*). Not that that makes it any easier for you to write it, but still. (Sorry, hope you don't mind post by semi-random passerby and reader of your fics).

Yes, I hate it when people stop by to say nice things about my writing. (By which I mean it is my favorite thing ever and you should feel free to do it as often as you like. Thank you!)

I really don't know when or whether more of this will see the light of day, though.
